- Notes:
-
- CCCC MS 44 Mention of the fact that CCCC MS 44 contains an English coronation oath from between the 10th and 12th centuries, possibly written under William of Normandy as an addition to the ‰Û÷Edgar‰Ûª ordo but it seems to have had no influence over the ceremony as it developed in medieval England, p. 173
- CCCC MS 146 CCCC MS 146 pp. 138-50 is one of three manuscripts dating from c. 1000 that contain the coronation ordo that had the most influence on the evolution of the English coronation ceremony. The other two versions of this text being in BL Cotton Claudius A.III no.3 and Paris Bibliotheque Nationale MS Lat. 943 ff. 67r-75v, pp. 167, 175
- CCCC MS 163 CCCC MS 163 pp. 185-94 is described as a Winchester pontifical of the 12th century and it contains a German coronation ordo assigned by Schramm to Mainz and dated to c. 961, p. 175 n. 4
- CCCC MS 415 Observation that the coronation ceremony found in CCCC MS 415 (’The Norman Anonymous’) at pp. 169-72 and 189-94 is a virtually identical copy of that found in the Benedictional of Archbishop Robert (Rouen Bibliotheque Municipale MS 369 (Y7).1), p. 168 n. 1
