- Notes:
-
- CCCC MS 9 The calendar in CCCC MS 9 has an unusual format and may not be part of the original manuscript; from the Easter tables, it was probably written before 1062; the main manuscript contains the work of known Worcester scribes, pp. 7 n. 24, 17, 44-6, no. 20
- CCCC MS 422 The calendar in CCCC MS 422 contains unique feasts associating it with Sherborne in Dorset; easter tables have been taken to suggest that it was written circa 1061, but alternatively it may be post-1070 as the Office of the Dead has Caen/Bec associations, pp. 7 n. 24, 10, 14, 17, 41-3. no. 19
- Portiforium written at Worcester in the middle of the eleventh century, perhaps circa 1064, or perhaps after 1070 because of Caen/Bec influence in the Office for the Dead; may have been used by St Wulfstan, bishop of Worcester 1062-1095; although scribes can be identified at Worcester, the exemplars may have come from Winchester, pp. ix, 7 n. 24, 17, 43-4, no. 21
- The Chronicle entries for ff. 16v-25v, for 892-924, are written in a script similar to that of Oxford, Bodleian Library, Junius 27, p. 23
