CCCC MS 139 In a discussion of Robert de Popultoun OCarm and his Chronica et miscellanea super historiam anglice he points out that the Geoffrey of Monmouth texts in CCCC MS 139 were probably used by Popultoun for his Chronica de origine antiquorum Pictorum. At the time CCCC 139 was at the Cistercian house of Saeley which is relatively close to York where Popultoun was writing his chronicle, pp. 41, 295 n. 53
