- CCCC MS 55 In CCCC MS 55, Stephen Langton’s commentary on the Pentateuch, in the Genesis commentary there is a marginal note ’Andreas contra’ for the gloss on 1 v. 2, where Langton differs from Andrew of St Victor’s gloss on the text. In the gloss on Tobit 2 v. 14 on CCCC MS 55, f. 209v Stephen Langton refers to the topic of ’servile fear’ in regard to a theme in disputation. At the time a disputation followed a lecture. , pp. 183, 212
- CCCC MS 89 Notes that Stephen Langton in his commentary on Ezekiel in CCCC MS 89, f. 113v, written shortly before 1206, uses the term ’glossa magistralis’ to distinguish between the authoritative patristic gloss and the contemporary glossator who presents a compilation quoting the patristic authority beside his own gloss , p. 226
- CCCC MS 217 Notes that CCCC MS 217, containing Andrew of St Victor’s commentaries on the Octateuch and Chronicles, belonged to the Benedictines of Worcester Cathedral Priory, p. 177
- CCCC MS 315 Notes that CCCC MS 315 belonged to the Franciscans of Oxford and contains Andrew of St Victor’s Commentary on Kings and Chronicles ’in a small unpretentious little book’. A friar comments in the margin both on Andrew’s use of Latin and understanding of Hebrew: ’Andrew here uses false Latin; hence you may believe he often speaks false Hebrew’, p. 177
