- CCCC MS 190 Includes CCCC MS 190 in a list of manuscripts containing copies of the ’Confessional’ and the English ’Penitential’ or ’Pseudo-Egbert’. However, CCCC MS 190 is the only one of these manuscripts which does not also contain some of the texts in Fowler’s postulated confessors’ handbook (see Fowler, ’A late Old English handbook ...’ Anglia 83 (1965) 1-34), p. 107 n. 6
- CCCC MS 201 CCCC MS 201, which includes copies of the ’Confessional’ and the English ’Penitential’ or ’Pseudo-Egbert’, is discussed in a study of Oxford, Bodleian Library MS Laud Misc. 482. It is noted that these two manuscripts are the only ones to preserve a text concerning the way in which penance could be performed partly by proxy for the very wealthy. It is also noted that CCCC MS 201 preserves a unique record of a three-day penitential fast enjoined by Aethelred in response to a threat of Danish attack, pp. 107 n. 6, 118, 119
- CCCC MS 265 CCCC MS 265 included in a list of manuscripts containing copies of the ’Confessional’ and the English ’Penitential’ or ’Pseudo-Egbert’, p. 107 n. 6
- CCCC MS 422 Brief mention of the English rubrics in Anglo-Saxon liturgical manuscripts; notes that the rubrics to the ordo for the sick in CCCC MS 422 are related to those in Oxford, Bodleian Library MS Laud Misc. 482, pp. 109 n. 7, 109 n. 10, 117 n. 13
