Description:
CCCC MS 52 is a twelfth-century manuscript containing the Magna glosatura, or Glossa continua, on the Pauline Epistles by Peter Lombard (c. 1095-1160). The text is written in a fine hand, with attractive ornamental initials. The manuscript also contains some passages from Augustine, De trinitate and Hilary, De trinitate in a twelfth-century hand. The flyleaves contain fifteenth- or sixteenth-century recipes in Latin and English. The provenance is unknown.
